The original design of the Gibson L-4 CES guitar was masterfully executed, under the watchful eye of famed Gibson designer Lloyd Loar. The current version of this electric marvel combines premium tonewoods for superior tone, balance, and note definition. The Gibson L-4 CES is equipped with a fast mahogany neck capped with a bound ebony fretboard and pearl split-parallelogram inlays. A pair of f-holes enhance tone and projection. The L-4 CES possesses a nitrocellulose lacquer finish that gives the guitar a vintage look. This classic hollowbody guitar is ideal for jazz but also produces excellent country, rock, blues, and fusion rhythms.
